Self-Portrait

Wow, this was extremely difficult. the hardest part of this assignment was find a concept i liked. it was very hard determining what I should decided and the message i wanted to convey. think trying to identify what style was even harder. it was probably difficult because i have never had to do anything like this. also i am not the type of person that focus on myself. i rather go and help others or concentrate on them rather than me. i am slowly trying to increase my comfort level in this area but it is a very slow process.

Freestyle Friday

Wow today's class was very useful. Michael taught us how to adjust opacity, use layers more effectively and make a pain picture looks amazing. Today's class should really help me to manipulate the self portrait and make it look unique and fun.

First few classes

In recent classes we have concentrated on photoshop. I understand that this is an introductory arts class but it seems like things are going a little slower considering our due date for our projects are fast approaching. Michael has been teaching us stuff which is used more in the industry rather than techniques which we can use in our projects to be creative. I hope he starts to teach us some techniques that create photos which are more awe inspiring soon.

The beginning - First Impressions

On the course decription New Media was a course used to teach Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and another computer based program. I thought this course would be nothing but a boring uninspiring computer class. So far, this class has been quite entertaining. We are encouraged to express our feelings and express ourselves in our work. we have also been very open in discussing different works to gain an understanding of how each artist is different and how we can incorporate their style into our own.
